I got bored, so...

I think I'm quite lucky that when I get bored I want to draw. Usually drawings when I'm bored turn out to be a bit unusual though, and tend to be some weird mix-up of things I like. So today I present this...

The Teen Titans tribute: Part 2!

So, the other day I posted the first part of my "Teen Titans tribute" , with a sketch of Red Robin.

Now, this is all because the current volume of the DC Comics series is ending with it's thirtieth issue soon, and I decided to commemorate that in some way.

Anyway, this time, I don't just have one sketch, I have four! Hope you enjoy!

So they were Superboy, Kid Flash, Bunker and... Beast Boy. Guess which one I enjoyed drawing most...

So, yeah, I'll have the rest of the team up soon, thanks for checking this out!

Doctor Who series one posters!

So, as I've mentioned before, I'm a massive fan of Doctor Who, and considering we probably have to wait until September ( SEPTEMBER! ) until the next series, I've decided to rematch the modern era from Rose all the way up to Time of the Doctor ( and all the spin-offs ). As well as that, I'm doing posters for each episode I watch, just like I did with Sherlock.

So, here we go!

So, I hope you people liked them, and obviously, I'll have more of these for the series posting soon!

Bonus: Quick digital Sherlock and Moriarty!

So, I just posted a set of Doctor Who digital sketches here, and I decided to draw Sherlock Holmes and James Moriarty from the BBC's current "Sherlock" series in the same style.

Obviously, these were just quick sketches, but I think they kind of worked!

Digital Doctor Who... Things.

Okay, so I'm not completely sure how to describe these, they're basically drawings of each incarnation of The Doctor from Doctor Who, but not done with a face ( I don't think that would've made for a catchy title )... I'm not really sure what inspired me to do these, but I think most of them turned out quite well!

Anyway, here they are!

Anyway, they were a bit odd but I think ( hope ) they worked!

The Teen Titans tribute: Part 1!

So, it was announced today by Scott Lobdell that the current volume of Teen Titans would be ending after it's thirtieth issue. Now, I'm a massive fan of Teen Titans, even if the writing recently has annoyed me, and I'm not going to get into why the cancellation is a bad idea since I already mentioned that on Twitter, but what I have decided to do is post a sketch of each of the characters on the team!

The first one being Red Robin, which you can see below!

Obviously, I'll have more some time soon, but first I need to draw them!

Sherlock posters!

So, if you're a follower of me on twitter you should know that I am a massive fan of the BBC's current "Sherlock" series, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman and Mark Gattis ( written by the amazing team of Steven Moffat and Gattis ).

The show recently finished it's third series and lately, I've been doing posters for each episode of the show digitally. You can check out the posters for the nine episodes ( as well as the BBC's prequel to series 3 ) below. As always, I hope you enjoy!

Also, for people who liked those, I'll have some done in a similar style for Doctor Who up soon!

Today, Doctor Who!

Okay, so I'm a massive Doctor Who fan, and the last months of 2013 were pretty massive for the show.

With the 50th anniversary special being broadcast worldwide on the 23rd of November and the end of Matt Smith's time on the show in it's Christmas special ( one of the only things to make Christmas Day kind of sad... ), I was feeling pretty inspired to draw a lot of  Wibbly-Wobbly-Timey-Wimey stuff.

I picked out three of, what I think, are the best I've done recently. Anyway, hope you lot like them!

Hello!

So you've found this place then!

Yeah, hello, if you're reading this, thanks for checking this blog out!

Basically, this is my art blog! I'm going to be posting a lot of sketches and iPad drawings here, mostly comics/tv based, and hoping people like them!

So, if you are here, it's probably through my twitter page, or my old blog, in which case it's kind of likely you like comics, which is leading me to an important point here, why should you take my word for my art and sticking around here when I haven't posted any art yet?

Well, a few months ago, I met a lot of  professional comic creators, at a great event called Thought Bubble in Leeds, and for almost everyone of them that I met, I gave them one of my sketches. So, here's what a lot of them wrote on Twitter after the event!

( Oh, and also, at the event, Cameron Stewart, who's drawn a lot of my favourite Batman books, paid £20 for one of my sketches! )

So, there's, hopefully, a few reasons for you to stick around!

Should have some good stuff posting soon, thanks for checking this place out, spread the word!
